Samson And Donald Trump

This is one of the most interesting verses out of the story of Samson. God had clearly given Israel direction in the Law of Moses about taking foreign wives. Samson sees a Philistine woman and is resolute, committed to the idea that he wants her. Samson the Nazarite, dedicated to God, whose parents get a visitation from the Angel Of The Lord! They witness powerful signs at the sacrifice on the alter. This was a special child, a deliverer of Israel!

And what is Samson like? ‘Get her for me, for she looks good to me.’ This is incredible. His parents remind Samson of God’s Law and Samson does not even hear them, he wants her…
3Then his father and his mother said to him, “Is there no woman among the daughters of your relatives, or among all our people, that you go to take a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?” But Samson said to his father, “Get her for me, for she looks good to me.”

And mysteriously the Scriptures tell us this amazing truth about God. And that is, God’s ways are nor our ways!

4However, his father and mother did not know that it was of the LORD, for He was seeking an occasion against the Philistines. Now at that time the Philistines were ruling over Israel.

This I believe is what is happening to many Christians regarding Donald Trump. They simply cannot see that God is at work in Trump. They only can see through their rigid idea of God, without realizing that God’s ways are higher than ours and that He does things as He pleases, for His purposes.

If you are struggling to see how to vote for Trump and confused that God could actually be using Trump, then study the story of Samson and ‘see’ anew how our God works with even the most morally compromised people! And Samson knew better! And yet God was gracious, and used Samson mightily to deliver Israel!

May God use Trump to do the same for America!

Please share with those who are paralyzed, unable to vote for Trump.
